National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers
Uplifting the digital presence of a not for profit bankers association
NACFB, a non-governmental, not for profit organisation, aims to support and encourage micro businesses and independent financial advisors so that they can gain access to higher levels of funding.
NACFB approached us with the objective to increase their member base across the UK by redesigning the organisation’s website and creating an improved admin interface to manage applications, maintaining a smooth integration with their CRM.
The previous NACFB website was non-responsive and dated, with a complex UX consisting of multiple time-consuming forms and steps that the user had to complete. We worked through a process of consultation with the client, interrogating all aspects of the site, considering key messaging and simplifying the aims of the website.

In addition to the digital build, we focused on improving NACFB’s processes in line with its business objectives
The primary objective for NACFB was to increase the number of eligible financial advisors becoming members of the site.
We worked with the organisation’s internal teams to develop automation processes to improve efficiency, such as the integration of a CRM.
NACFB wanted to help businesses in the SME market, so it was essential that the website carried and promoted material that was relevant, particularly in the area of micro-financing where NACFB focussed.
A launch plan was collaboratively agreed with the client, taking into account multiple stakeholders and third party integrations. From the CRM system to the hosting support and their service desk, all third party suppliers were brought together on the same platform.

Responsive Redesign: Elevating User Experience and NACFB Brand Integration
The website was redesigned to be fully responsive across all platforms, with optimised UX based on user research and stakeholder workshops.
NACFB’s brand guidelines were applied throughout.
NACFB wanted a robust, future-proof platform with an easy-to-use backend
After consultation with the client, the decision was made to build the website on WordPress with a customised backend dashboard, making blog posts and publishing content easy.
We integrated bespoke APIs in order to connect WordPress to the client’s CRM system, which was customised to their requirements.
Ensuring that the site was secure and aligned with industry standards was vital to NACFB, so we recommended updating it from HTTP to HTTPS. This also brought SEO benefits as Google favours secure sites.
