Defining EEN's Audiencies
EEN supports SMEs all over the UK and has a diverse range of users and stakeholders, so defining its key audiences was a key challenge.
Through a series of research sessions and workshops, the team explored the objectives and pain points of the network’s users before collecting their feedback on different areas of the website.
We also created and sent out a series of bespoke user surveys to collect quantitative data from EEN’s key users and stakeholders.
As a result of this research, we were able to clearly identify EEN’s key audiences and unpack each user group’s relationship with the website. We presented these findings to the EEN team in the form of a User Research Report.
As a public sector organisation, EEN needed to formulate a strategy to ensure that its website could be put on course to comply with WCAG 2.1 AA standards
In order to achieve this, we carried out a thorough accessibility and usability audit while simultaneously assessing the website’s functionality and general hygiene.
We assessed the website from two perspectives: manual and automated. This enabled us to cross-check our findings and gain a deeper understanding of its issues and potential solutions.
The full report covered over 3,000 web pages, assessing them against WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
Based on this, we made a series of recommendations on how to incrementally improve the site’s accessibility and performance.
With the UK on the brink of leaving the European Union, EEN was preparing to transition into an organisation that could function independently of the EU
A key aspect of this project was therefore to help EEN define their offering and objectives in order to make this transition as smooth as possible, with a key focus on its digital presence and website.
JBi carried out in-depth industry research and worked with EEN to align its stakeholders into one vision, thus facilitating a smooth transition in January 2021. We then provided a range of recommendations and insights as part of a Stakeholder Insights Report.
